Prof. Dr. Samuel Pfeifer, M.D.

Dr. Pfeifer studied medicine at the University of Zurich, Medical School with further studies in Psychology and Theology at Biola University in Los Angeles (Rosemead School of Psychology). He is a member of the Swiss Association for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SGPP), German Association for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Neurology (DGPPN) and Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

Dr. Pfeifer served as medical director for more than 25 years until 2015 at “Clinic Sonnenhalde” in Riehen, Switzerland, a Christian Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He has published several books and numerous articles on the integration of Soul Care and Clinical Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.

A special concern for him is the interaction of medicine and Christian faith, therapy and pastoral care. Today he runs his own practice in Riehen.
